Damien O Brien Magician and Hypnotist was on Penn & Teller’s FOOL US attempting to deceive them both live on ITV along with his trusty assistant Jonathan Ross

Making the world record attempt at the Gadget Show Live in Birmingham NEC, the adjudicator from Guinness World Records announced that the NOVA weighed in at 40.3g and had broken the previous record by a huge 14.8g making it the lightest touch screen mobile phone on the market.

Speaking at the event, sWaP director Peter Theo said, “We are absolutely delighted to achieve this record. sWaP has always been an innovator and the NOVA epitomises our ability to reinvent a conventional mobile with a highly desirable design and unique selling points.”

At only 40.3g, the sleek and stylish handset is virtually matching the size of a match box (measuring a compact 68.5 x 38 x 16.2mm). Available in black or red, there is also a slightly heavier Crystal Special Edition which includes a protective white leather case.  Both versions operate across all 2G networks, offering Quad-band connectivity.  As with all current sWaP products, the NOVA is not network restricted and will allow users to make and receive calls in high clarity.

The sWaP Rebel proved to be a popular choice; the fashionably stylish and affordable mobile phone watch features a 1.46” TFT colour touch-screen, as worn by N-Dubz’s Dappy.  It comes with a mini-stylus and is available in an array of eye-catching colours, as Jamie Cullen was delighted to find out.

We will also be showcasing 3 exciting and NEW innovative designs that will be being released in 2011 so it will give people a chance to get a sneak preview of whats to come.

Newly launched sWaP products were immediately noticed and requested to be presented on live Television being broadcast direct from the show location N24. Coverage included one of the most talked about products within IFA and one that the Television presenters all wished to own, the new sWaP Nova, potentially the world’s smallest regular touchscreen mobile phone in production. Incorporating numerous clever and unique features, for example, a sliding USB connection (the first seen on a product of this kind), the sWaP Nova instantly offers the ability for connection to a PC without the need for cables, thus allowing the transfer of data, including music and video, along with the benefit of simultaneously charging the handset.

Another greatly advanced product that received outstanding levels of enquiries and compliments, was the sWaP Rebel. This being a highly water resistant watch phone, designed with the younger user in mind and available in a multitude of trendy colourways at a very realistic price. Including all of the key functions and features expected of a sWaP watch product (camera, music player and video player for example), the Rebel goes one step further with its design brief and incorporates the USB connection plug on the end of its strap, which in similar fashion to the sWaP Nova, allows direct and immediate PC connectivity for data transfer and charging, without the need for cables. Another clear advancement in technology from sWaP.

Other new and existing products were all on show and available for demonstration via sWaP’s new counter top display units, including LCD screen and attracting swarms of interested customers. These units will be finding their way to major high street retailers very soon, so be prepared to trial the sWaP range this Christmas!

Big names such as Dizzee Rascal and Mark Ronson were headlining the event and sWaP had the pleasure of meeting them both backstage where they walked away with the NEW sWaP flagship SIGNATURE phone watch.

They both loved the sWaP SIGNATURE and couldn’t wait to get home and start playing around with their new  phone watch.

Lee Jackson is from a family of top Superbike racers. Most recently, his father and uncle have competed regularly at the highest British level and have also been selected at World Level. His uncle (also named Lee), currently competes in the British Superstock 1,000 Championship, riding for the Buildbase Kawasaki Squad.

Lee himself is only 14 years of age, but has impressed greatly from the very start of his early career, having already won the British Pitbike Championship in 2007 and came runner up in the highly competitive British Superteens Championship in 2009, having literally been pipped to the post in the final round of the season.

The Directors of sWaP took an immediate decision to sponsor Lee for the 2010 season, due to him having demonstrated immense determination to succeed at the very highest level. The fact that he was just about as excited in the sWaP Watch as he was to have won the sponsorship was the icing on the cake for the Directors!

Dyal Trading Limited made their second successive appearance at the Gadget Show Live this year at the NEC in Birmingham at Stand F21.

The sWaP stand was over twice the size of last year at a whopping 8.5 x 5m which stood proud in the main hall amongst the likes of Panasonic, ACER & Cannon to name but a few.

The public response and trade feedback on the sWaP range and the latest designs COMING SOON was phenomenal. Two of the main products that were drawing in the crowds were the fantastic sWaP REBEL and sWaP NOVA.
